Who will see waves this weekend? East coast weekend surf outlook: Huge Swell Shakes Up Red Bull Magnitude Contest:
Looking ahead to next week, there’s the potential for one of the stronger January storms on record to take shape over the Atlantic. This storm could bring significant weather and waves to the East Coast, and send a solid to large swell to the Caribbean by the end of the month.  One such spark of COVID creativity being the Red Bull Magnitude event: an all-digital, all-female big-wave contest spanning from December 1, 2020 – February 28, 2021 and pushing women chargers to test the boundaries in huge Hawaiian surf. The prize? $40,000 divvied up for a handful of top performers.Thanks to this overactive North Pacific season, the women have had a lot to work with. Super Swell Saturday brought XXL surf across the Hawaiian islands from Jaws, to Waimea Bay, to Oahu’s Outer Reefs.
